About The Artist Coach

Hi! I'm Old Head Jin

I started Raising The Bar (RTB) back in 2010 to give Malaysian hip hop a proper home. It's now the country's longest-running hip hop platform — and a launchpad for some of the biggest names in the scene.

These days, I run TONGTONG Asia — a boutique music agency focused on management, music marketing, and live experiences across Southeast Asia. I've worn a few caps over the years: Senior A&R at Def Jam Malaysia (worked closely on rollouts for Joe Flizzow, SonaOne), and now part of the APAC business development team for global distribution company ONErpm.

Along the way, I've helped artists like Lunadira, Airliftz, and CLAUDIA reach key career milestones, curated music festivals, and consulted brands on how to engage with music and youth culture in a way that feels authentic.

Across everything I've done, nothing is more rewarding than seeing artists come into their own. There's no magic formula to making it, though — every artist's path is different. That's why having a game plan tailored to you matters. You've got the vision; I'm here to get you there faster. Whether you're just starting out or feeling stuck halfway, I got you.
